There was once an experiment on local cable TV to see how long a dog could sit in front of the television watching special programs aimed for dogs. It was found that it really worked and the dogs were calmer for watching dog TV and today it is a big hit amongst dog owners and dog nurseries. Well the same can actually be said for cats. The cat has a longer attention span than a dog and actually likes watching television as long as it is a calm program and not some gory blood fight. The cat does not have great vision though so does need to get close to the television set and sit with his upturned head looking at the moving pictures. His ears also prop up as he listens to the sound that accompanies the moving pictures. Whether the cat totally understands what he is watching no one will ever know but one thing is for sure, the cat loves his television time and when the television is not on he is even able to turn it on himself and sit and watch his favorite programs and switch between channels, a clever and funny cat. One of the favourite programs for cats is actually the advertisements as the cat watches the special new ads for cat food, he can be seen licking his lips as the tin is opened and even stretching his paw to try and get some only to realize it’s on screen and he can’t actually get any. It's actually hilarious to watch.
